Government advice on home moving during coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

The Government guidance is to avoid non-essential or unnecessary appointments.

Offices will be open for business but closed to the public, except for a pre booked appointment only, safety measures will be observed

On requesting for a viewing, a prospective viewer must:

Be in a position to go ahead and buy (no house to sell, finance in place) If you need to sell your home and you are yet to accept an offer on your existing property, then unfortunately there is a chance you will not be able to view at this time, subject to the property owner’s instructions.

Viewers must have a strong declared interest in a property and must have satisfied themselves it is the correct property to view by researching:

  1. i. Street view
  2. ii. Photos
  3. iii. Video (if applicable)
  4. iv. Viewed from outside, i.e. drive by/walked along street

Declare they do not have coronavirus or symptoms themselves or in their household

Declare if anyone in their household is ‘shielding’.

Provide own PPE i.e. gloves or sanitiser and facemask and observe 2m distancing

Max two people to view from same household and must be the buyer, not a representative, no groups and no children under 18

Discussions to be conducted in the garden or street observing 2m distancing.

Property Valuations and Inspections

Householders should declare they do not have coronavirus or symptoms themselves or in their household

Declare if anyone in their household is ‘shielding’.

Ensure door handles are sanitised

Our staff will have their own PPE and observe 2m distancing at all times
