Home Sale Network Agents Exceed National Average For Customer Satisfaction

The Home Sale Network

Home Sale Network, a national network of independent estate agents across England, Scotland and Wales has exceeded the national average for customer satisfaction, according to responses received following a recent survey conducted by The Property Academy amongst UK based estate agents.

The annual Home Moving Trends Survey, now in its fourth year, invited many UK based estate agents to take part with the aim of identifying the reasons behind home movers’ actions. The data is then used to improve estate agents’ customer service. The survey results state that 84% of sellers who have actively engaged an estate agent in the last 12 months would be happy to recommend them to a friend. After inviting their customers to complete the survey, Home Sale Network were delighted to find that their member agents collectively received an even higher score of 87% of customers who would be happy to recommend them.

The survey also revealed that agents of the Network also ranked higher than the survey’s national average when rated by their customers for their knowledge, communication and personal service; qualities that each member requires to be invited onto the Network.

Commenting on the results, Richard Fowler from Richard James Estate Agents, the member of Home Sale Network in East Northants said, ‘When you engage an estate agent you are normally asking them to handle the sale of your most valuable possession and to help you through a period that can be one of the most stressful in your life. At Richard James we work very hard to provide a high level of customer service and we are glad to see the feedback backs this up.’

Chris completes ten years’ service!

Chris Wise

Senior Negotiator Chris Wise last week completed ten years’ service with Richard James.

Chris commented, “I am delighted to have worked for the Estate Agents who I have always considered to be the leading agent in the area. I didn’t realise before starting the job just how much work is put in to selling a house and the last ten years certainly has been a great education and experience”.

Director James Rota commented, “Finding the best  staff is always difficult but we totally believe in the people we employ.  The main reason this business has succeeded for almost twenty years is down to the hard work of people like Chris and the other members of our team. It has been a privilege to work with Chris for ten years, he is one of the warmest and approachable characters I know, that’s why repeat customers always ask for him. We look forward to many more years together”.

Chris was rewarded for his service with the customary watch.

Google waves goodbye to property search tool

Google Real Estate

Did you know that you could search for properties using Google Maps? Either way, internet giant Google have announced that they are stopping their property search feature as from 10th February 2011.  There was a lot of expectancy within the industry that this service would potentially challenge some of the top UK property portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla, etc. but it appears that due to a lack of advertising and low usage, it has come to an end.

Google said: “We recognize that there might be better, more effective ways to help people find local real estate information than the current feature makes possible. We’ll continue to explore this area, but in the meantime, Google offers other options to home-seekers: you can still access other information in Maps such as local businesses, directions and transit times, as well as aerial and Street View imagery to explore where you might want to move, and also use Google search results to find helpful real estate information and websites.”

Here at Richard James we market all our properties on at least 25 different websites, making sure you have the best possible chance of selling for the best possible price.  If you’re currently on the market, do you know how many websites your agent advertises on?

Something good which came out of Home Information packs!

There were few benefits of the Home Information Pack, and we were certainly glad to see the back of them when the new coalition government suspended them back on 21st May 2010. (You now only need an Energy Performance Certificate to market your home, and this needs to be in place within 4 weeks of putting your property on the market).

Due to the many HIPs we had accumulated over the years, we were left with around 100 very nice, executive A4 ring binders.  We couldn’t really think of a better cause than donating them to two local schools and a nursing home in Irthlingborough.

Let us hope they can make far better use of them!
