For many of us Christmas is a joyful time of year; spending time with loved ones, sharing gifts and comfort. However, not everyone sees Christmas the same. For many families it is a challenging time, and financial pressures can make it even harder to enjoy the fun of the festive period. Which is why this year we have partnered with Family Action’s Toy Appeal to help make Christmas magical for the children they support.
Each year, Family Action receive requests from their services for toys that they can give to families in need. In 2020 alone, they distributed over 13,000 presents to more than 11,000 young people across the country. For many children, the present they receive from the Toy Appeal is the only one they will get at Christmas.
Since 1st December, our Wellingborough, Irthlingborough and Rushden offices have been playing Father Christmas and collecting donations of teddy bears, puzzles, walkers and dolls from our fantastic clients and friends. We have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to our appeal and are looking forward to delivering all these toys to Family Action’s Perinatal Support Service which is based in Northampton.
