The property market gets the go-ahead with restrictions
At 7.30 pm last night the Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick announced that the housing market in England can resume, with lots of restrictions!
The report is based on a Government document called Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020 which came out on Tuesday evening.
It states restricted viewings of a property to buy or rent can commence and people can visit estate or letting agents. However, it is stressed activity cannot return in the same manner as before the lockdown, due to … Continue Reading…
A Covid-19 update for home movers
The UK Government’s plan to steer the four nations through the Covid-19 storm was released today at 2 pm.
And we’ve read through it and here’s our understanding of how it affects sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants in Wellingborough, Irthlingborough & Rushden.
While factories and building sites can re-open if they follow the social distancing regulations, estate agency offices can’t, for now anyway.
And we don’t know for sure when we’ll be able to re-open our offices and return to accompanied viewings … Continue Reading…

In this three-minute read, we share four simple ways you can get your property ready for sale if you are thinking of moving when lockdown ends. And we share four things we’re doing to continue serving our clients and to keep everyone as safe as possible.
As some sections of our society are slowly being ‘unlocked’ following Boris Johnson’s address yesterday evening, there is some light beginning to be seen at the end of the tunnel.
The messages we’ve all heard from … Continue Reading…
It’s a Feelgood Friday VE Day Special
It’s the seventh Feelgood Friday since lockdown, and it’s a very special one as we mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day. A 3-minute read.
We’ve renamed this week’s Feelgood Friday to Thankful Friday as we celebrate the service, sacrifice and strength, of the heroes who made VE Day possible 75 years ago.
And what better way to honour them and say thanks, than by having a safe, fun-filled day.
Below we’ve found five ways you can mark the historic day and … Continue Reading…
Four ways people can get social while under lockdown
Life under lockdown and respecting social distancing guidelines needn’t mean you have no social life as this 2-minute read explains.
Across Wellingborough, Irthlingborough and Rushden people are getting creative and using technology in several ways to come together during a time when for the good of us all, we’re keeping apart.
Human beings are naturally social animals (some less than others you might say) so being able to keep a connection with colleagues, friends and family is healthy for us. Especially during … Continue Reading…
Five ways technology could transform your home after the lockdown
Before the Coronavirus outbreak, there was a debate around whether technology was good or bad for society.
But thanks to online home-schooling helping our children, video conferencing allowing us to communicate with colleagues and Facetiming meaning we can stay in virtual touch with relatives the debate has waned. And technology has been embraced by more people than ever.
Below are five ways futurologists (people who look at future trends) are predicting our homes may change once the lockdown ends and the ‘new … Continue Reading…

Happy Birthday to the Nation’s Hero
Captain Tom Moore, who inspired the nation and raised more than £32 million for the NHS with his … Continue Reading…
The Lighter Side of Lockdown
It’s time for a bit of Thursday fun as we look at some of the lighter moments we’ve experienced during the lockdown. A two minute-read.
For most of us, lockdown is getting a little boring. But we all must keep following the Government’s guidelines around social distancing and staying safe.
We’ve spent the past couple of days scouring the internet (we’re bored too) and have found some of the lighter-hearted stuff doing the rounds.
Psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman, from the University of Hertfordshire, told … Continue Reading…
Four ways homebuyers’ needs might change post lockdown
Lockdowns are gradually being relaxed across many parts of Europe and the World.
These green shoots of life returning to normal give us all a little hope and optimism for the future.
And talking of the future, we’ve dusted off our crystal ball to look at how the property market in Northamptonshire might change once this is all over.
It’s worth pointing out that no one knows for sure what will happen post lockdown.
But based on what we’re reading, the conversations we’re having … Continue Reading…
